Lap Up Blue Cocktails!

All you need are judges’ scorecards and colorful, beribboned medals and creatively named competitive events like “Best Cannonball”, “Longest Breath Held Under Water” and “Best Imitation of A Synchronized Swimmer.”
And for the perfect refreshment, serve cool, pool-blue beverages! After a few laps in Spec’s cocktail lanes, you’ll be set to immerse everyone in frosty fun with recipes like the ones below.
All of these recipes use Curacao, an orange-flavored liqueur produced from the peels of laraha citrus fruit grown on the island of Curacao. Naturally colorless, curacao is famous for its vivid blue hue, which is created with artificial coloring.
Blue Lagoon
Ingredients
1 oz vodka
1 oz blue curacao
Dash of lemonade
Directions
In an ice-filled glass, pour vodka and blue curacao. Top with lemonade and stir.
Blue Backflip
Ingredients
1 oz vodka
1 oz blue curacao
¼ cup cranberry juice cocktail
1 tbsp lime juice
Lime wedge for garnish
Directions
Pour vodka, curacao, cranberry juice and lime juice. into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.
Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Springboard Blue
Ingredients
2 oz coconut rum
1 oz blue curacao
2 oz pineapple soda
½ oz lemon juice
Lemon wheel for garnish
Directions
Combine blue curacao, rum, and lemon juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.
Shake well and strain into old-fashioned glass. Top with pineapple soda and garnish with a lemon wheel.
