Countdown to Big Brew Festival!

America’s 2nd-largest craft beer gathering, the Big Brew Festival is just days away! The weeklong event, from Oct. 20-26, will feature more than 1,000 craft beers from 40 Texas breweries, delicious pairings from Houston’s top culinary talent, educational seminars, meet-and-greet opportunities with industry experts and two grand tasting sessions. Thursday, October 23

The Great Match: Gourmand & Grains – Forty brew-inspired dishes from some of Houston’s most renowned chefs will be paired with craft beers for a fine tasting experience like no other!

Friday, October 24

Texas Brewed: Texas Breweries Showcase – Join us in celebrating the Lone Star State’s great breweries during this one-of-a-kind tasting experience!
Suds in the City: Houston Pub Crawl – Board the bus to visit some of the city’s best craft beer destinations, plus meet the movers and shakers of the craft beer scene.

Saturday, October 25

Big Brew Grand Tasting Sessions – Enjoy over 1,000 craft beers, featuring Spec’s University Seminar Stage, interactive displays and music and more. Get the VIP experience with special tastings and samples in the Big Brew Beer Snobs VIP Zone.

Ingredients: Directions: Rim a cocktail glass with lime wedge and dip into chili salt. Fill with ice. In a shaker, muddle the lime juice, mint leaves, agave, and pineapple.  Add the tequila, Cointreau and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and mint leaves, as desired.
