Winter Cider Recipes That Would Warm Jack Frost!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful! Wouldn’t it be nice to be sitting in front of a crackling fireplace, sipping a mulled cider that tastes so magical you imagine it could have only been crafted by an actual elf from the North Pole?
We think so too. And with or without the fire, you can still have that perfect Holiday dream with one of these delightful cider recipes.

Rudolph’s Hot Cider
Ingredients
2 tsp whole cloves
1 orange, thinly sliced
2 quarts apple cider
1 tsp allspice
½ cup light brown sugar
Pinch of grated nutmeg
1 apple
1 cup angostura dark rum
Cinnamon sticks for garnish
Directions
Stud the apple with the cloves. In a medium pot, combine the studded apple and remaining ingredients except the rum. Slowly bring to a simmer over low heat. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the rum. Discard the apple. Ladle into mugs and garnish each with a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.
Peppered Ginger Cider
Ingredients
8 oz apple cider
4 oz bourbon
3 oz ginger liqueur
Lemon juice to taste
4 Luxardo cherries
Cracked black pepper
Directions
Bring bourbon and cider to a simmer in a small saucepan. Stir in the ginger liqueur and add lemon juice to taste.
Divide the cherries between 2 heat resistant glasses or mugs and pour in cider combination. Sprinkle with pepper, serve immediately, and enjoy!
