Known as “the heavenly cheese,” it is crafted in Coutances, in the Normandy region of France. This cow’s milk cheese is covered with a satiny edible rind. Inside of it, you will find a rich center with a total of 70% butterfat. Talk about delight and decadence! It has the richness of flavors and is as dense as butter with a salty tang, which is derived from the ocean air blowing off the Normandy coast. Try with a Pinot Noir, or if white wine is more your taste, try it with a Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay or Riesling.
