To make Thread Count we sourced from the Santa Maria Valley which is the second oldest appellation in California and the northernmost appellation in North America. With valleys that run east-west which is unique in California the vineyards in the Santa Maria Valley enjoy a moderate Mediterranean climate that is well-suited to winegrowing particularly cool-climate varietals like Pinot Noir. Brick red in color this wine has perfumed aromas of blackberry pie and strawberry rhubarb intertwined with notes of dried herbs and tobacco leaf. This mouthwatering wine brings flavors of berry tart bright cherry plum and black pepper. The silky mouthfeel and bright acidity contribute to a long and satisfying finish. FOOD PAIRING This wine can be enjoyed on its own or with spaghetti and meatballs with parmesan a charcuterie plate or rosemary lamb with rice pilaf. Feel free to experiment.
