Celebrate Pumpkin Day This Sunday!

It’s impossible to think of autumn, and October specifically, without conjuring up the fall harvest and images of gourds, squash and pumpkins. As the heat of summer finally begins to ebb and the leaves start to turn gold, yellow and crimson – the need for pumpkin-infused drinks reaches new heights.

Add National Pumpkin Day to the mix, coming up this Sunday, and it’s very easy to get pumped up over pumpkins. To help you celebrate our favorite orange behemoth, here are some of our favorite pumpkin beers.

Post Road Pumpkin Ale

Reviving an old American tradition of using pumpkins during brewing, this beer has a rich amber color, hints of pumpkin and hearty malt center. Its sweet and crisp finish will leave you feeling refreshed.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead

A lighter option to satisfy your pumpkin ale cravings, this beer has hints of cinnamon and pumpkin. It strikes the perfect balance between spicy and sweet, and will definitely be a fall favorite.

Southern Tier Pumpking

If you want a real kick of pumpkin in your ale, then this is the perfect choice. This thick, full-bodied brew smells like a pumpkin pie just out of the oven and has a sweet and buttery finish.

Rogue Farms Pumpkin Patch Ale

This ale has strong pumpkin spices with bold, dark malts that cut through the spice. It balances many of our favorite fall flavors, including hints of cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and ginger while still offering you a well-rounded pumpkin ale.

Samuel Harvest Pumpkin Ale

Real pumpkin and warming spices like ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg give this brew a smooth, hearty and inviting character, perfect for the crisper days of fall.
