Creepy Halloween Cocktails For The Spine- Chilling Connoisseur

Halloween may fall on a Tuesday this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get down with your ghoul over the weekend! Whether you’re hosting a skeleton crew or a huge mob of zombies, our aisles are brimming with everything to trick out your gathering. Try these potions on guests to create some magic!

The Poisoned Apple

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 1 oz pomegranate juice

Directions

  1. Combine ingredients with ice in a martini shaker.
  2. Shake to mix and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add ice to the glasses just before serving with an ominous laugh.

The Witching Hour

Ingredients

  • 1 oz spiced rum
  • ½ oz Fernet Branca
  • 1 ½ oz crème de cacao
  • 1/8 tsp black food coloring
  • ½ oz chocolate stout

Directions

  1. Combine spiced rum, Fernet, crème de cacao and food coloring to a shaker without ice. Shake for a few seconds.
  2. Then fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for a full 30 seconds.
  3. Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with the chocolate stout.

Corpse Reviver

Ingredients

  • ¾ oz dry gin
  • ¾ oz Cointreau
  • ¾ oz Riesling
  • ¾ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 8 drops Absinthe
  • Brandied cherry for garnish

Directions

  1. Chill a stemmed glass with a few ice cubes. Combine the ingredients in a shaker and mix.
  2. Discard the ice from the glass and strain the drink into the glass. Garnish with the cherry.

Bleeding Heart

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Flor de Caña extra-dry white rum
  • ¼ oz ginger syrup
  • ¼ oz orgeat syrup
  • ¼ oz acacia honey syrup
  • ¾ oz lemon juice
  • 3 blackberries
  • Peychaud’s bitters, to garnish

Directions

  1. In a pilsner glass, gently muddle the blackberries. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  2. In a shaker, whip the remaining ingredients, shaking with a few pieces of crushed ice just until incorporated.
  3. Strain into the glass and garnish with a thin layer of bitters and serve with a straw.

Black Widow

Ingredients

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 2 oz blackberry juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup

Directions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice, add ingredients, stir and serve.
