Tis’ the Season for Nuts!

November is the perfect time of year to stock up on all your favorite nuts while they’re in season! Full of heart-healthy fats, protein, vitamins and minerals, nuts make a healthy snack and are a festive addition to any holiday party. From almonds and pecans to walnuts and chestnuts, there’s a reason so many are included in popular Thanksgiving dishes. Here are a few nutty cocktail recipes to help you celebrate this holiday season!

Roasted Almond
1 oz vodka
1 oz coffee liqueur
1 oz almond liqueur
1 oz cream

Combine the vodka and liqueurs in an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake to blend. Add the cream, shake a couple of times and strain into your favorite glass. The perfect cocktail to enjoy while sitting by the fire!

Nuts For Raspberries
1 oz hazelnut liqueur
1 oz black raspberry liqueur
2 oz  half-and-half
Raspberries for garnish

Pour the liqueurs into a glass filled with ice, stir in the half-and-half and garnish with the raspberries!

Apple Walnut Delight
2 oz whiskey
1 oz apple brandy
½ oz walnut liqueur
¼ oz simple syrup
Apple wedge for garnish

Pour ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake well to blend. Strain the mixture into your glass, add an ice cube and garnish with the apple wedge. Grab a handful of walnuts and enjoy this tasty cocktail!

Pecan Praline
1 oz pecan praline liqueur
2 oz bourbon
Dash of orange bitters
1 tbsp chopped pecans for garnish

Stir all ingredients into your ice-filled cocktail glass, add a dash of orange bitters and garnish with the chopped pecans!
