The 1997 vintage of daliwinnie’s distillers edition which has been finished in oloroso sherry casks as always. Get ready for some thick jammy whisky folks! 43% abv tasting notes: nose: honeyed malt soft sherry notes and a polite smokiness. Palate: crushed up almonds dusted with sugar and oak spices. This is followed by dark berry jam with a side of dark berry jam smothered in even more sweet succulent jam. Finish: some peat sneaks in for the finish.
