Plomari Ouzo
Ouzo of Plomari is named for the heritage of ouzo itself: the Greek island settlement that took advantage of the historical confluence of trade spices and wine regions whose distilled wine (marc) served as the base distillate. The name Isidoros Arvanitis belonged to the founder and president who started the company in 1894. It has grown today to be the national drink of Greece and one of the most popular ouzos in southern Europe. The modern distillery prides itself on state-of-the-art equipment but still uses batch methods of distillation in pot stills. They grow their own aniseed and fennel to ensure the quality and taste of their historic recipe. 40% ABV. Double Gold in the 2024 San Fransisco Spirits Competition.
