Wyborowa is a very popular polish made vodka. In 1823 hartwig kantorowicz founder of wyborowa established a new and modern distillery in poznan. That same year a polish newspaper announced a competition to find the finest vodka in poland. When wyborowa was presented the president of the judging panel declared it exquisite. The panel agreed and it was named the best vodka in poland. Kantorowicz decided to call his vodka wyborowa which literally translates as exquisite in english. Made of rye grain distilled twice to maintain rye character. Best served in a vodka martini.
