Biography the malbec is celebrated as the red variety best adapted to argentina’s soil and mendoza’s ideal climate and growing conditions have proven to bring out the best of malbec’s genetic characteristics resulting in the best malbec wines. Algodon’s malbec offers excellent structure ideal for aging in french oak. This wine represents craftsmanship and a true artisanal process from the vineyard to the winery. Winemaking techniques fermentation: traditional in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 78 f – 86 f. Macerated for 20 days. Complete malolactic fermentation. Assemblage of cuvee: 60% oak (5 months in french oak barrels) – 35% non-oak and 5% microvinificated tasting notes intense ruby color with violet reflections. The aromas express the varietal typicality with ripe plum and violet flower with smoky notes obtained from the barrel. The palate is juicy fruity and delicate with sweet tannins while flavors envelop the palate highlighting the aftertaste
