An odd bird on the nose where floral lavender aromas replace the normal set of cassis and berry. In the mouth it’s so tannic that it’s like chewing nails; the flavors therefore seem choppy and hard like roasted blackberry and sugar beets. Very woody and mentholated too. – michael schachner wine enthusiast
