A cooler-than-normal January in the Columbia Valley led growers to adjust their pruning decisions leaving more buds per spur. This helped combat reduced yields caused by winter freezes. Bud break in the spring surprised growers with a healthy number of surviving buds despite cooler temperatures. A hot July made up for a slow start to the growing season resulting in beautifully developed fruit by harvest. Band of Roses features an aromatic blend of cranberry nectarine and rose petals. On the palate a delightful combination of strawberries and cream culminates in a bright acidic finish.
