Growing region: the marlborough region of new zealand is like none other in the world and is well known for growing outstanding sauvignon blanc. The marlborough region is located in the northeast of the south island. Strong diurnal temperatures allow the sun-loving sauvignon blanc to ripen to the fullest but the very cool evenings ensure the grapes retain their bright acidity. The unique and distinct flavor profile is the hallmark of the region and a favorite among wine drinkers. The sauvignon blanc fruit for this wine was sourced from many different select vineyards across marlborough encompassing the wairau and awatere sub-regions. These classic sub-regions of marlborough are known for offering subtle dry herb notes and a rich texture to the final wine. To retain the vibrant fruit flavours we carefully pickled the drapes in cool conditions before delicate bunch pressing at the winery. To make the rose aromatics really jaw-dropping we separated the juice into small batches and inoculated them each with a different yeast. After fermentation and careful blending we let some of the wine sit on lees to give the rose something to really write home about with incredible texture and complexity.
