Today la merika celebrates the beauty of california’s central coast a wildly diverse landscape where world class vineyards and award-winning wines thrive. Growing season: for the central coast the 2013 vintage delivered another generous growing season producing fruit of exceptional quality across the board. A dry winter and mild spring set up the vines for an ideal spring bloom which provided a sturdy fruit set and overall healthy yields. Cool breezes and fog in the summer delayed the ripening of grapes and prolonged harvest dates which resulted in mature fruit with balanced acidity and elegant flavors for the 2013 vintage. Winemaking: la merika pinot noir is picked in the early morning hours to preserve delicate aromas and flavors.
