Palmaz Johannesburg Riesling
This 100% riesling was sustainably farmed from the estates spring block parcel located at 1 200 feet of elevation. The grapes were whole cluster pressed then cold fermented at 45 degrees in stainless steel tanks. It is pale-straw in color showing green highlights good legs dry and medium-light body with fresh acidity and scant phenolics. This is the best new world dry riesling that i have ever tasted. Palmaz offers saline minerality with subtle integrated apple peach and lime fruit. It is laser focused precise vivid and complete. The wine may be the second best (after eisle sauvignon blanc) dry white wine made in napa valley. Stunning. Bear score: 97 points
