”vinification & winemaker’s comments we selected grapes for our 2017 vintage from robertson stellenbosch and as far afield as the west coast crafting an exceptional sauvignon blanc with diverse characteristics. Although dry growing conditions prevailed during the 2017 growing season and ripening period we were blessed with a healthy fruit profile displaying perfect varietal typicity and great intensity of flavour. Fermentation took place in stainless steel under controlled temperature conditions prior to blending. Tasting notes the nose is fresh and intense with an abundance of granadilla pineapple ripe fig melon and citrus aromas. The mid-palate is gentle and round showing juicy tropical fruit and pure gooseberry and greengage flavours with vibrant yet balanced acidity. The wine is refreshing crisp focused and it lingers with a lemony aftertaste and hints of angelica nettles and green figs – perfect for summer. Delicious on its own or enjoy with ceviche chicken schnitzel with fresh lemon sushi goat’s milk cheese salads with vinaigrette dressing or with quality fish and chips.”- boekenhoutskloof
