”tasting notes strong layered aromatics of black cherry cassis and fresh fig along with a touch of spice and earthiness this wine is distinctly cabernet sauvignon on the nose. On the palate there are nice rich layers of flavors ranging from black cherry blackberry and currant with a slight touch of graphite stone and tarragon. The fruit and spice bursts onto the finish that is finely structured with a nice balance of acidity and well integrated tannins. Winemaker’s notes this classic washington cabernet sauvignon is a very complex wine that has great vineyard sites comprising the blend. With all of the grapes harvested in early october through the first part of november the perfectly ripe fruit was balanced with near ideal acidity. All components of this wine were fermented in stainless steel upright tanks with pdm yeast. This wine has finished 100% malolactic fermentation then aged for 14 months in 2 & 3-year-old french oak barrels.”- powers
