Qupe Central Coast Syrah

750ML
SKU: 085075500080
Origin: USA

This wine is a blend of primarily 81% Syrah 9% Grenache 8% Mourvedre and 2% Tempranillo from a selection of vineyards along the central Cost of California in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. Traditional winemaking techniques included fermentation in a combination of small open top fermenters using manual punch-downs and larger closed top tanks using pump-overs. The wine was aged in separate lots of small French oak barrels (mostly neutral) for 16 months. 2015 was a warmer than normal vintage resulting in a small intensely flavored crop. The resulting wine reflects a dark fruit forward expression of rich blackberry boysenberry and black plum. Concentrated flavors and smooth tannins make this vintage the perfect match for barbeque ribs and roasted corn on the cob on a hot summer evening. Enjoy this wine young in the next 3-5 years or age up to 10 years in the cellar.- Qupe
