Old vines: this irreplaceable vineyard was planted by johan and william jacob in 1847 just eleven years after the foundation of south australia. These vines are now over 167 years old- some of the oldest vines in the world! The block is situated between jacob’s creek and the north para river hence the name moorooroo an aboriginal word meaning ‘meeting of two waters’. Why is so little made?: only four rows of these ancient vines are left. This coupled with low yields ensures production sits around 200 cases.
