Steltzner Claret Napa Valley

”claret is a red wine blend utilizing the grapes most common in boudreaux: cabernet sauvignon merlot petit verdot malbec and cabernet franc. With its origins in the road houses and bistros of europe claret is a wine perfect for every day consumption. Beautiful dark garnet color. Aromas of red fruits. Soft structure through the pallet balanced with notes of espresso and cassis. Toasted notes on the finish with hints of sweet cherry. Vintage: 2013 is a vintage to watch from the napa valley. Although a drier year the growing conditions were ideal in terms of bud break fruit set and veraison. The quality of grapes and the resulting wines are show stopping.
