100% pinot noir (clones 115 777 667 828 and calera selection) hand-harvested and sorted mostly de-stemmed crushed and cold soaked for 2 days in five-ton open-top fermenters with an indigenous yeast fermentation start before supplement midway through cultured burgundian yeast. One punch-down per day. Malo-lactic fermentation in barrel. Aged 11 months in all french oak barrels (45% new) with no racking. Red-purple color with well formed legs; dry medium-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium-light phenolics. Clean red fruit and spice pinot with cola and earth. More nuits-style pinot (at least for california). Bearscore: 91+.
