Yalumba Bush Vine Grenache Samuels Garden

”the samuel’s garden collection of wines embodies the fabric of the barossa region with the gentle fingerprint of yalumba. Having intimate knowledge of our land we have trialled and successfully proven that many varieties make a natural home in the barossa. Yalumba old bush vine grenache 2016 often described as one of australia’s unsung heroes grenache is naturally lighter in colour than shiraz or cabernet sauvignon but continually provides us with wonderful big fruit flavours. Yalumba is extremely fortunate to have some of the oldest grenache vines in the barossa with fruit for this wine being sourced from vines planted between 1898 and 1972. Vintage conditions a moderate winter led to a warm and dry spring which resulted in a sedate and healthy start to the growing season. This moderate weather continued into summer until the end of january when approximately 25mm of rain fell throughout the barossa.
