Ouzo 12 Liqueur

Ouzo 12 is the top-selling ouzo brand in Greece and the most famous ouzo brand in the world. This fiery anise-flavored spirit is made from crushed grape skins and aromatics such as fennel anise and nutmeg. The history of Ouzo 12 dates back to 1880 in Constantinople where the Kalogianni brothers first produced the spirit in their small traditional snack shop. At the time ouzo was not bottled but sold directly from the barrel and Barrel No. 12 was the customer favorite singled out for its exquisite flavor and aroma. The Kalogianni family later moved to Greece and in 1950 they produced the first bottled ouzo in Greece using the best lots available naming it Ouzo 12.
