Lysholm Linie Aquavit

Linie Aquavit still crosses the equator line twice aptly earning its name. Each month new consignments of old oak sherry casks embark upon a four-month journey taking them to 35 countries across the globe during the voyage. This unusual maturation process creates a remarkably smooth and complex aquavit. On the back label you will find a unique code containing the date of the cask’s departure the date it returned after crossing the equator twice and the name of the ship. Linie means line (linye) in Norwegian referring to its two crossings of the equator line. 41.5% ABV Tasting Notes: Linie has a rich smooth profile with notes of aniseed and caraway. Matured in old sherry casks it also has slight notes of oak and a kiss of sherry adding complexity. Rating: Ultimate Beverage Challenge 96 points (Apr 2014).
