Sambuca is a licorice-fl avored liquer that derives its fl avor from the elderfl ower bush know in Latin as sambucus. Meletti Sambuca stands head and shoulders above the competition because it is produced with an extended aging step. It is also richer in body than anisette with an underlying fl oral character. 42% ABV 84 Proof Tasting Notes Sambuca is a richly textured cordial with delightful aromatic fl avors of anise and elderfl ower. Production Th e fruit from the elderfl ower bush is steeped in alcohol at very cold temperatures before spending 4 months instainless steel tanks. Th e resulting fl avoring mixture is cut to proof and bottled.
