Temperatures were never too extreme with typical warm to hot days and nights that dipped to the low 40’s. This contributed to optimal acid development and fully ripened grapes. Veraison came a bit earlier than usual ensuring the grapes the perfect amount of hangtime to develop full flavor and proper tannins.
