Pazzo is one of the more unique red blends on the market because sangiovese is its primary variety and is blended with cabernet sauvignon merlot petit sirah and/or syrah depending on the vintage. The result is a fruit-rich red with exquisite body and structure. Juicy red fruits of cherry and raspberry burst into the palate with a richly textured balance. The mid palate is fresh and delicious without all the encumbering oak. Kirk venge is the consulting wine maker here and its evident with its plush nature and vibrant flavors. Touches of spice and mocha tickle into a long palate refreshing finish. Pazzo means crazy in italian and this wine is crazy good!
