A blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon (65% Oak Knoll 35% Oakville District) cold soaked for 2 days in open-top temperature-controlled fermenters. Fermentation started with indigenous yeasts and finished with cultured yeasts with two daily punch downs. Malo-lactic fermentation and 14 months aging in all French oak barrels (35% new). Red-magenta color with well formed legs; dry medium-bodied with balanced acidity and medium chewy phenolics. Supple red and darker red fruit Merlot with spice and a tea-like herbal note.
