Hennings cheese curds are made from fresh cows milk which is pasteurized. During the process rennet is added to clot the milk. This results in a mixture of whey and the early stages of the curd. Its then cooked and pressed to release the whey from the curd. The end result is a product which is cheese curd. It is all in the part of the cheese making process. It is a great appetizer and a great conversation piece at any party. Melt on pizza or make homemade macaroni & cheese. You can even deep fry them. Freeze to keep fresh and then microwave a few seconds to make them squeak again. Pairs well with a nice sauvignon blanc or merlot. If beer is your choice then try them with a pilsner or wheat beer.
