John Icholson –
I first tried Aberlour probably 25 years ago (and haven’t tried it in the last 20 years), and it was very delicate and non-distinguished. I will say that Aberlour has definitely improved their whiskey dramatically, and one should not rely on their memories, as it is very flavorful!
Nose – sweet notes of raisins and sweet dates; Taste – sweet flavors of fruit and nuttiness, multiple other flavors which lasts a nice long time; Finish – very smooth; Overall – Good, but I would recommend Aberlour’s The A’Bunadh over this.
