Berta Elisi Grappa

It was in 2002 that the Berta Distillery moved back to Roccanivo in Piedmont the site of where the family business had originally started years before. The facility was built on a hill right next to the vineyards where nebbiolo barbera and moscato are grown almost solely for the purpose of grappa distillation. Using a meticulous series of steam-powered copper pot stills Berta has since thehn become one of the most respected producers of grappa in the entire country using not only one of the smallest distillation heart cuts but also top quality French oak cooperage to age their spirits for more than a decade. The Elisi is blend of all three grape varietals aged for a year in wood to mellow out the vinous flavors into marriage of soft cocoa and cherry. It’s truly one of the most dynamic grappas on the market and worthy of its luxurious price and packaging. 43% ABV
