But today the spirit is also produced is also produced in Alsace. 45% ABV More than 10 kilograms of fruit are needed to produce one litre of spirit. Swiss eaux-de-vie de William are allowed to made with sugar added after distillation. However in Germany this spirit cannot be made with added sugar. Sometimes eau-de-vie de William is bottled with William pear that is grown inside of the bottle.
