The River Spey in the heart of Scotland is the country’s second longest and fastest-flowing river renowned for its fine trout and salmon fishing. Home to half the Scotch malt whiskey distilleries in Scotland the banks of this river boast more distilleries than anywhere else in the world. Some distilleries are only a stone’s throw apart using the same barley water and peat and yet by some strange magic every Speyside whiskey has its own special characteristics and flavor. The district is a blunt wedge bisected by the fast flowing River Spey. The malts are sweet and fruity; delicate yet peaty on the palate with just with a trace of smoke. 40% ABV Tasting Notes: Color: Honeyed with golden highlights. Body: Light to medium elegant and balanced. Nose: A fresh invigorating Speyside malt of mint menthol and freshly cut pine. Traces of fine dark chocolate and a lingering sweet malt aroma. Palate: An initial fibrous sweet nougat essence is complemented by t
