I love Smiling Oak whiskeys! Lots of folks go for the bite, but I always prefer a smooth taste, and each of their products gives me that – great for sipping with a sliver of ice or neat. I was turned on first by their plain whiskey, but quickly got hooked by the Paddy O’Barrel, which has a flavor a lot like an Irish whiskey. Both are very civilized, and I also love the fact that they produce their whiskeys sustainably in small batches, by hand.
I can hardly wait for Spec’s to carry their Rye!
