This 12 yo ex-Bourbon cask bottled exclusively for Spec’s (Single Cask 444/2011) was matured in a Bourbon barrel previously used by Buffalo Trace Distillery Kentucky. Maturation in a Bourbon barrel has added layers of vanilla honey and carmelized sugar to typical Kilchoman peat smoke citrus and rich fruit character.
