Product Information: – Richly sherried single malt – Matured for at least 12 years in Spanish pedro ximenez and oloroso sherry casks – Non-chill-filtered and of natural color – 43% ABV Brand Information: The GlenDronach was founded by James Allardice in 1826 making it one of the first licensed distilleries in Scotland. For nearly the next 200 years times would be tumultuous for The GlenDronach as it changed hands various times and oscillated between operating and being mothballed. It developed a strong reputation and the whiskey of The GlenDronach was highly sought after for use in blends. Enjoyed a wee dram today of this delightfully smooth bottle. I had bought it for a friend last Christmas. After resting 10 minutes, I found the warm sherry notes. Nites of vanilla, toffee, leather, and a hint of orange. I loved the lack of peppery hot taste on the tongue. Would love this at Cask Strength. Very delightful for a cold afternoon!
