The wine is 100% live certified from chehalem mountains and fermented using open tops and punch-down then aged for 10 months in 27% new french oak barrels. It has medium-plus red color with well-formed legs. Adelsheim is dry and medium-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium-light phenolics. It is brighter fresher and more focused than its willamette counterpart. The wine offers pure red fruit with mineral earth cola and subtle spice but still in an old-world style. Bearscore: 94+
