96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc from Nicolas Thienpont & co (Ch. Pavie Macquin Ch. Beausejour Duffau etc.). Red purple color with well-formed legs; dry medium-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium phenolics. DARK ripe red and even some black fruit with black tea and mineral earth terroir. Not classical Castillon but delicious wine. BearScore: 92+
