Anne de Laweiss produces its non-sparkling wines in the village of Bennwihr – shouting distance from the Rhine River and German border – and practices organic and sustainable ideals in its viticulture. The Riesling is loaded with honeysuckle and jasmine on the nose with ripe mandarin key lime and other citrus tones on the palate.

On the nose; honeysuckle, vanilla, pear, peach, and petrol.
On the pallet; lemon, green apple, dried cranberry, and dandelion .
Conclusion; if it were sweeter, I might have missed the complexity. But the absence of sugars and fairly high acidic content really helps push the citrus flavors to the fore. The finish has has a slight bitterness that reminds me of dandelion greens in a salad. Note; this is a wine nerd’s dream. With every sip, it feels like you’re trying to analyze your way though a 3D puzzle, and you feel you have to go on the nose again, and then you want another sip, because it’s almost coming together.
