Deep bright ruby in color. Very fruity with lots of spices. A very round and greedy mouth with dominant violet flavors.Tannins present but silky. All the characteristics of a great Volnay. Ideal with fine dishes of poultry or game that is roasted braised or glazed. Its aromatic intensity allows it to accompany couscous tagine or moderately strong cheeses. Drink within 7 years.
