Hogue Cellars Sweet Riesling (Late Harvest)

The 2023 growing season was marked by a cool start which resulted in a delayed bud break across the Columbia Valley. In contrast a warm May led to a slightly advanced bloom. Normal summer heat and an absence of any major temperature events allowed the fruit to develop at a steady pace. The yield from the 2023 harvest while significantly smaller than previous years is of exceptionally high quality. Fruit harvested late in the season results in a sweet balanced medley of apricot orange zest and honeyed lemon.
