Jorge Ordonez & Co. Seco Botani Moscatel
Pale straw color. Fresh fragrant and mature brimming with the aroma of Muscat grape apple mandarin orange and a pinch of wilted flowers. On the palate it is fruity and dry with notes of citrus and a gentle finish. The surprising originality of Botani is the fruit from a rigorous process of grape selection and the great care taken in the winemaking process. The grapes used in this wine come from the vines from Almachar that grow on the north-facing mountainous slopes. After manual harvesting at the end of June or the beginning of August the grapes are brought to the selection table before pressing. Since they are extremely sensitive to climate changes we were not able to make this wine in 2005. Botani is our most versatile wine. It pairs perfectly with all kinds of fish seafood and shellfish as well as cold soups such as ajoblanco. It is also great with ceviche sushi risottos dishes with black truffle and spicy Thai or Indian food. – Jorge Ordonez & Co.
