Oaking: 10 months in 30% new 59- gallon french oak barrels the 2015 cellar reserve cabernet sauvignon is a blend of 76% cabernet sauvignon 12% malbec and 12% petit verdot. The grapes for this wine were primarily sourced from the mont sec vineyard of west texas and the newsom vineyard in the texas high plains ava. This wine shows traditional varietal cabernet sauvignon aromas of green pepper and black fruits with a dash of vanilla and toasty oak gained through aging in small oak barrels. Vibrant acidity is supported with a medium bodied tannin structure with a lengthy finish. This wine should reach full maturity by 2020 if properly stored. Serve reserve cabernet sauvignon in a large wine glass at a cool room temperature (62-66f). – llano estacado
