Meeker Cabernet Sauvignon Four Kings Alexander Valley

BLEND Four Kings is a Bordeaux-style blend of four of the noble grapes of Bordeaux. The components of this wine are chosen from our best lots of the vintage and selected barrel by barrel to be the best expression of the vintage. TECHNIQUE The primary goal of our fermentation practice for Bordeaux varieties is to extract maximum structure and tannin. To do this we use a combination of extended cold soaks low-temperature fermentations and extened macerations ranging from 4-12 weeks. WINEMAKING NOTES Our winemaking goal at Meeker has always been about building wines that are deeply elegant and complex while expressing balance structure and the character of their vineyard source. Executing this goal in Four Kings requires meticulous attention to chemistry and winery practice as well as an intuitive understanding of and experience with the vineyards and varieties that comprise a wine.
