TASTING NOTES: This wine displays a pale golden tone with brilliant clarity. I find expressive bright aromas of green apple and pear integrating nicely with richer aromas of honey light butterscotch and hints of truffle. On the palate the wine has a light beam of bright acidity balanced by a full bodied creamy texture which lends itself to the lingering finish.This wine will benefit from being served slightly chilled and will age gracefully for 3-4 years. Drink Now through 2020. FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTION: Salmon Cakes with Chardonnay Aioli Sauce VINEYARDS VINTAGE & VINIFICATION: 2014 was a great growing season we were able to fully ripen the fruit with the brix coming in for the various lots around 23. The majority of the juice was fermented in stainless steel tank with the balance being fermented in French oak barrels. We enjoy combining the two winemaking styles with our Chardonnay as we find the characteristics of each fermentation complement each other very nicely.
