”Tasting Notes The 2011 Newman’s Own Cabernet Sauvignon presents a robust and rich palate with ripe berries red fruit herbal and toasty oak flavors. Cherries and vanilla spice on the mouth lead to a long lingering finish. Winemaking Information Once we harvest the finest fruit from our key growing areas along the California coast the juice undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It is then aged in French oak to allow the distinctive flavors and aromas from each vineyard to marry into one harmonious wine. Our winemakers blended in 12% California Petite Sirah to add an additional layer of complexity and structure to the wine. Pairing Notes Our Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and full-bodied with plenty of layered flavors including dried black cherries black pepper and leathery spice. Pair this wine with foods that offer similar richness and intensity. A classic combo is grilled steak and a glass of Cab but we also love how our Cabernet Sauvignon sets off our Bombolina Bake
