”vineyard notes tannat is a red wine grape historically grown in south west france in the madiran aoc and is now one of the most prominent grapes in uruguay where it is considered the national grape. This tannat is a blend from two different vineyards in two separate climates. The fi rst is a warm weather tannat coming from gene gleaser’s vineyard in solano county and the other is cool weather tannat coming from russian river. Production the glaeser tannat was picked on the 12th of september 2013 and was split into two lots to ferment both saw a 5 day cold soak and were then inoculated with amh yeast to one lot and bm 45 yeast to the other lot on the same day. After a healthy 13-day fermentation the lots were pressed together and taken down to 10% new french oak and the rest neutral barrels. The england shaw tannat was picked a bit later on the 30th of september 2013. This was fermented as one big lot using the d254 yeast strain. After a two-week fermentation we pressed and
