Sebastiani Sonoma Pinot Noir

Vineyards: although the sonoma coast appellation covers a lot of terrain all of its sites share a cooler foggier climate that is perfectly suited for pinot noir thanks to its close proximity to the pacic ocean. By blending multiple vineyards and clones we produced a pinot that is both complex and approachable. E fruit for our 2015 sonoma coast pinot came mostly from our own estate vineyards from carneros with a lesser extent russian river valley. Vintage: 2015 was a fantastic vintage producing high quality fruit. It began with an earlier than average budbreak and an intense compacted harvest beginning earlier than average as well. E high temperatures in august and early september accelerated maturity and picking times. We picked all grapes by september through early october 2015. Overall this has been an early and light harvest with smaller berries and concentrated flavors that produced exceptional quality fruit. Winemaking: all lots were gently de-stemmed to preserve th
